We found a Muslim restaurant in Chengdu, the same as the one we go to in Luzhou. They must be a chain restaurant.
The dishes at the Muslim restaurant in Chengdu, were even better than the ones in Luzhou! We didn’t think that was possible.
Beef Noodles with Vegetables and Chilli sauce. Sichuan is known for it’s hot food, and this dish was pretty hot.
We stayed over in Chengdu on Saturday, for one night. The fruit shops in Chengdu are big and have a beautiful variety of fresh fruit available. We went for a walk on Saturday night and found this little shop.
Half a basket of fresh strawberries.
A bowl of the most deliciously hot and spicy beef noodles. This is seriously good stuff, some days thinking about eating this for lunch gets me through my morning classes. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend 4 kwai (4元) and when I’m back in Australia these noodles will one of the things I truly miss. Oh Niu Rou Mian! How I will miss thee!
Class 4 have been good all year, and worked hard on the Film review of “UP”.
So I decided to give them a Christmas party! I purchased a few 2.5 litre bottles of Coke and 7up and a 1kg bag of mixed lollies.
They had a really good time and enjoyed the treats. Some of them are quite poor and can’t afford lollies and softdrink. As their families only give them enough money to buy school meals 3x a day.
It feels strange to be working this time of the year.
