We found a Muslim restaurant in Chengdu, the same as the one we go to in Luzhou. They must be a chain restaurant.
The dishes at the Muslim restaurant in Chengdu, were even better than the ones in Luzhou! We didn’t think that was possible.
Beef Noodles with Vegetables and Chilli sauce. Sichuan is known for it’s hot food, and this dish was pretty hot.
These are the sorts of things you miss when you live in Rural China for five months.
Luzhou doesn’t offer any good coffees or hot chocolates. There’s no Starbucks or equivalent, because the city is quite small. The best coffee we’ve had in Luzhou is from KFC. So when we go to a big city like Chengdu, we visit Starbucks.
We stayed over in Chengdu on Saturday, for one night. The fruit shops in Chengdu are big and have a beautiful variety of fresh fruit available. We went for a walk on Saturday night and found this little shop.
Half a basket of fresh strawberries.
A nice little Tibetan restaurant in Chengdu. The yak was great!
How good do the dumplings look!
Dumpling with a bit of chilli sauce.
The meal cost us 40 Yuan, which is only $6.50 AUD!
*This is the same Tibetan Restaurant that we ate at last year when we were in Chengdu:
Water & wind proof jacket 129 yuan! (129 yuan is about $23 AUD)
Polarfleece jumper 99 yuan! (99 yuan is about $16 AUD)
Winter clothes problem solved!
